One from today although it's not critically sharp all over it's the one I most like from the ones I have taken today.

Phil.

It sure is different, and yes its not critically sharp. Very nice. If anything i would clone out the dark patch bottom left corner.

Good action grab though.

I like this image. A very different view of an owl to the normal image shown here. I like the movement and the intense stare of the owl at whatever it is hunting. The fact that the image is not completely sharp adds the action for me and the important part of the bird, the eye, looks sharp at web size presentation.

I share your frustration trying to get these sharp in the recent light. This is a beautiful action shot though. You would get away with cropping a bit from the bottom to exclude the dark part if you wished.

Update - superb portfolio by the way!

OK, it isn't critically sharp, but in a superb action shot like this, so what? I would be proud of it any day.

In spite of the lack of sharpness, it still is a very nice action shot.

Super capture Phil and like you say not critically sharp but what a pose. I looked at your other shots and they are terrific. :toast:

Hi!

My first post here, I've been in awe of hundreds of the images I've browsed as a 'lurker', but I've got a particular soft spot for owls, so felt I had to post now!

I love the image Phil, and after watching 'my' own SEO's going about their work, I just had to say I think this is an image that characterises perfectly what they get up to!

I've got a few images of my own, but nothing of this standard yet, but I wanted to say this place is an inspiration!
