Prefer your last one Jeroen, there are times when the bird is almost a secondary feature and I felt that the detail in the perch was worth looking at and the wren just finished it off nicely!!
Maybe thats just me!!!

For me in both your images the “perch” competes with the Wren.

In this image, I would lower it in the frame, otherwise I think this is a cracking little shot.

Just a thought, why is the Wren on this perch, as they are primarily insect feeders, and feed primarily in the leaf litter.

So might I suggest, attaching some Ivy leaves to the perch, and make them small leaves, so that they don’t over power your subject.

Nice shot. The perch doesn't bother me here, the wrens in my garden use dead stumps like this as song posts and search the crevices for insects. The pose however seems a bit awkward, but there's not much you could do about that! The background is lovely and the colours are nice and warm.

The comp seems fine and colours are nice and punchy. It's a shame about the lighter leaf in the BG as it seems to create a hallow around the wren - just on the right side anyway.

Other wise I really quite like the shot, good stuff.

Another lovely wrenpicture, with a very nice composition. I think the perch suits fine here.
