Psammodynastes pictus
Hi everyone

I keep telling myself that I've got to get back to regular posting, and so instead of doing the work I should be doing, I've decided it's time to go back through some images and see what people think. Isn't procrastination productive?!

This is a painted mock viper, photographed in Tanjung Puting National Park in southern Borneo during the summer (I lead a field course there each year). They're not particularly big (smaller than an adder), but are fairly common.

Techs
D300, Micro Nikkor 105VR handheld, Sigma macro-flash fill-in, PP in Capture NX2 and PS2, pretty much full frame.

Thanks for looking. C & C very welcome.

I think this image works really well - I think particularly for a standard scientific identification shot ! (bit of a mouthful)

Could work really well for someone like Arkive perhaps.

nice detail and catch light.
