Flying Egret
I came across this one on my computer at work today. Taken this past June in Florida with my then trusty Canon 5D, now useless due to hitting the saltwater..........oh well! Life goes on!

Canon 5D
70 - 200 2.8 IS w/ 2x converter probably at 400mm
Handheld

Sorry to hear about the camera. Great shot though, the Egret looks very graceful.

Very nice, Mitch. Good composition with the Egret flying into the frame and I like the fact that the wings are in the downward position, and the S shape of the neck.

Mitch,
The perfect sharpness of every part of the bird against the blown out background devoid of distracting stuff makes this a winner in my book. Some folks will say crop the bottom but not me... leave this one alone.!!
The light blue vs. the white of the bird is wonderful!.

Great Egrets have black feet... Snowy's have yellow feet.Because of the bowed neck I say this looks like an adult great egret to me.

great image
