Happy Frog.
Found this in one of my greenhouses this morning so I suppose its captive.
(Told him a joke )
D200 standard lens.

Hi John
Nice symmetric pose and the grin makes it!
BTW - in a previous post you asked 'what's it's all about?' Surely everyone knows that it's the Hokey Cokey - that's what it's all about. Sorry. I'll get my coat.

I like the way the skin has a sheen on it, and can I see the greenhouse reflected in the frog's left eye?

Love this image!
When you say standard lens, which one is that?
Posted by John Robinson on November 20, 2008 at 4:25 PM
Thanks
Iain its the Sigma18-50 F3.5
Its near focus distance is 7.4 inches.
As a matter of interest- the Sigma macro 50mm has the same near focus distance so why is it any better. Any ideas anyone as I was tempted to get one. (I know its f2.8.)
Cheers

Thanks John.
I used to have the Sigma 50mm Macro in Pentax fit on a K20d. I've no idea why it would be better than a 18-50, but I was certainly pleased with the images it produced. It was well built and the f2.8 was useful at times.
I've got a D200, like yourself, now, and I love it! I've also recently purchased a D90, and I've got a Sigma 100-300 on the way (also like yourself!). It was looking at some of your images that prompted me to get the Sigma actually!
I hope you don't think I'm acting like a stalker, but i also read your profile on your website, and Castor Hanglands is one of my regular haunts!
