Buzzard in action (c)
Here is a shot taken today whilst out training Pringle the Buzzard. Here he can be seen being put through his paces whilst getting used to the camera kit. Performing infront of cameras will be great for him, mentally lol plus being infront of cameras will form part of his job role so he can help earn some funds to support projects to help his wild cousins.

Thanks for looking

(c) in title for captive bred

D2X
200mm F2 VR
ISO 200

1/3000th sec
Handheld

Slight crop to frame & a small bit of cloning to take out the trailing end of his flying jesses.

It looks like that 200mm f2 works well Vincent. Nice complimentary BG to go with the bird. :toast:

Beautifully caught with bags of detail. Tempted to suggest that the pale twig mid-bottom could be cloned out, but I might get burned as a heretic

Mark, Looking at it the 'pale twig' is Pringle's creance line - his safety line.

Good luck with the training Vince. Light looks nice on him.

Thanks all, the pale twig I was going to clone out but left it in to create a huge debate  :jump: lol.

Nick, please stand corrected:biggrin: Its not the training line, training line got removed last week & in about another weeks time he will have the jesses removed too during flying. Nothing worse than trying to clone out jesses

Regarding light, yesterday we had some great light conditions for a change. :jump:

Super flight shot Vince, I have a real soft spot for these birds. Wonderful colour and detail.

Great bird in great light with a lovely complementary background. Would leave the twig but have burned it a bit to take the edge off the brightness.

Like the brown tones in this picture, very fine light and good detail in the feathers.
have fun,

Hello Vincent.

Lovely flight shot.

Love the colours between the bird and the background, and the top of the hedge makes a nice base to the image.

I think I would be cloning out the twig, but I must admit I also thought it was a traing line at first.

The detail in this is fantastic!

Hi folks :wavey:

Here is the full frame shot showing the jesses, this is more of less untouched except for resizing for web & a bit of sharpening using CS3

See, no training line :jump:

Hi Vince,
I actually prefer the repost! Clone out the jesses! :jump:
It does look like a training line though!
Never mind, have a cool beer! I am!
