A few weeks ago my wife and I went spent some time in Astoria because she was involved in some African music promotion. I was out shooting the sunset which was awesome. The problem was that I had Knee surgery and couldn't really get to where I wanted to go to take full advantage of it. This image was chosen to be on the cover of a calender that will be in many firms around the country. The second image is of the sunset that followed shortly after this was taken.

I hobbled to a point and just shot away. I just wish I could have been closer to the ocean. The horizon is tilted but this is an un processed version

Beautiful shots from Astoria. Congratulations on the calendar. Nicely composed image of the bridge with the pier and colorful hotel.

Congrats on the calendar! Bummer about the knee, hopefully the hobbling won't last long. I love how that bridge just goes on and on...

Thanks for the comments folks. I had to crop off the bottom because there was a bunch of debris and clutter. I agree that there may be a tad too much of sky and I think some of it will get cropped in the final version.

I would like to see the cropped version. But I like this shot, I can definately see it hanging on a wall in an office. The best part of this bridge is its depth, which you used to its full potential. Well done.

Great snap shot....I would love to see something like this with a very long exposure and the clouds moving across the bridge!!!!
