Red deer in rut
Just planning a red deer trip in Sutherland and checking back on previous coverage. I managed very little during the recent rut so here's one from the archive. Taken at the Highland Wildlife Park.

Canon 1dII, 500mm lens.

Great shot!

They almost look in pain whilst they're physically changed for the rut, and this image seems to get that over very well.

Hi Peter,

Love the rugged nackered look of the subject but its a wee bit tight in the frame for my taste though! I'd prefer more room all round especially to include all the antlers and extra room the left and top! Just my opinion though!
