I like the detail. To pick some, I would suggest cropping the top and the left, trying to apply the rule of thirds.
Maybe brush him down some to make him look neat.

I like background, very natural looking..
I think the centre comp works ok for me in this shot, takes you right into his expression which is what you've tried to show. I think it would benefit from some better light though!.. Also could do with another round of USM

Good action capture - the eye contact really makes it.
My nit is the background (I'm looking at this on an ultraportable at the moment, so may be wrong), which looks like an OOF fence (could be just tree trunks though - like I said, tiny screen!).
I agree about the slight crop - that'll really bring it out.

Welcome and good first effort. I agree that a crop might enhance the image.Also a bit of advise: also take the time to comment on images of other photographers on the forum, for sure they will also take the time to comment on your images! good luck!

Hi Arron and welcome. Good shot and I think you've done the best you can with the crop - much more off the left and it'll be too tight to the antlers. Like the raindrops visible in the background
