I'm finally getting around to processing some panos from the Big Woods and wanted to compare this with an image I posted a few days ago. This stitch included some tupelos that I like almost as much as the cypress. Thoughts/opinions always appreciated.

I think it looks great! I do wonder how this would look in a vertical pano- to get a bit more of those sweet reflections. I especially like the knees that are backlit!

For me, it's the contrast between the knees and the beautiful light hitting the leaves in the left side of the image. In fact, the left side of the image works much better for me than the right.

Another beauty, Bill, lots to look at in this picture.

Shooting with backlight is always a bit tricky, but you got it just right on this one. The knees evoke images of silent monks standing in prayer in the morning rays.

Very nice!!!! The pano format really works well here and you captured the light really well.
Almost makes me want to go visit a swamp......almost
If I had one suggestion, it would be to maybe lighten the big tree trunk just a tad to bring out a bit more detail there. But just a tad. HDR is probably too much for this one but maybe a bit more detail.

It's really nice Bill, as with the other the color and light are wonderful. One thing that I notice is the lower left hand area where the reflections are making points up into the image, it competes in brightness with the background and keeps drawing my attention down to that area.

Bill: Looks like a magical place and this is a wonderful rendition. Superbly crafted shot. >=))>

Bill, looks great. The backlighting and shadow detail work well here.

Excellent light captured here Bill. I'd love to visit these areas some day. You, Tim and Gale all have made some amazing images from these swamps this fall.
The reflection in the LL is really different. The delineation between shadow and bright reflection is almost razor sharp making it seem unrealistic. Just an observation. Another one for the portfolio!

Beautiful image Bill. I was thinking the same thing that Brad and Wayne mentioned.. my eye seems to hover over the LL a bit.. but that's nitpicking. I wish I had a shot half as good!
