Harvestman
One of my last macro shots of the year, taken in October. This is a harvestman, a relation of spiders but not strictly a spider. These are the small round bodied 'spiders' with the very long thin legs, typically seen in sheds etc. In the US and elsewhere in Europe they're known as daddy long legs, although in the UK we give that title to Crane Flies.

This is a focus stack of 2 images. Both f13, 1/160, ISO 100, with a diffused Speedlight on a side bracket. Canon 30D with MP-E 65mm macro lens.

The shot probably benefits from being viewed slightly larger, so a larger version is available here.

All C+C welcomed.

Really crisp detail, especially on the larger version Matt. Looking forward to seeing you get going again with these when it starts to warm up again and the insects are out once more

Another suberb image. I really like these close ups of yours, gives a unique view into a world that can not be seen with the naked eye.
