Should have made a day of it but thought the roads to be too bad so spent this morning wondering through the village taken snow scenes.
Ventured out later and finished up with some mid afternoon Winter sunshine. Doh you fool. By tomorrow morning chances are it will all be gone.
Did managed a covey of five but thought this to be the better image.

Nice shot, I like it!
It's rather reminded me to have a glass of whiskey this chilly evening actually, so I thank you for that!
Where in the world are you by the way?
Iain

Thanks!
I'm in Lincolnshire, and although we had some snow this morning, we didn't have that much!

Very nice Major; snow looks like its a bit underdone on my monitor, but what a fine image this is.
I was up in Norfolk today, very productive it was too, "Christmas card" Robins, Barn Owls and Landscapes!

Hi Major,
Nice image, in fact very nice. We had about an inch in Suffolk, settled for about 3 hours, just enough time for me to try and get Fieldfares and Redwings, but alas no luck, then the rain came and washed it all away, hope there is another covering when I am up there this week !!
Regards
Rob

As I have said before can someone please tell me what snow is? We had a mainly sunny day here, very pleasant. I have even seen butterflies and bumble bees here during the last week. A beautiful winter image, I love the overall colour scheme here and you did well to keep both birds in focus. Well framed and exposed.

Lovely!! It does look a bit dark on my (uncalibrated) monitor, but it could be my monitor. Fantastic sharpness and detail. Beautiful shot!!

Major this is superb shot.
These are getting to be a rare bird in my part of Lincolnshire.

Lovely little scene Major, alas nothing like this up here where it just rained a lot

What a lovely pair! They appear to appreciate the snow. Does look a tad dark to me too.
