Hi Guys,
Sometimes we tend to forget just how beautiful the common species like this everyday backyard Starling can be...
I just love the colours and detail in their feathers..

Have to be one of the most vivid of all the common birds. The metallic hues when the light catches them just right is breathtaking. Lovely super sharp image and well framed. Would possibly have liked a slightly less obtrusive perch, as this one seems a bit thick and bright. Might have shown a bit of the tail with a smaller branch. Minor nits as I really like the image. Love the background, such a great vibrant green with just a hint of detail.

Great shot, a much underrated bird. The perch doesn't really bother me, I like the angle.
Rather large in the frame for me and the perch is rather dominant, but saying that still an excellent image. Well seen and taken.

D'you know, I've yet to see a starling that looks nice to the naked eye, yet there have been some great images on here - this is another one! The background really sets it off. I agree it's just a little tight, but I really like it!

Totally agree with you Jeroen, I haven't got a single decent image of one of these, this one very nice.
