I purchased CS3 about a year ago and for various reasons have not installed it yet. In the mean time, my XP computer crashed and the new one has the Vista operating system. In conversations I have picked up that there may be "issues" with CS3 and Vista. Any experience and advice would be appreciated.

I ran CS3 and LR1/2 with Vista 64bit and had no problems. There's a lot of gratuitous Vista bashing out there, the intellectually lazy mob that slags everything Vista as #(%@. I'm no great fan of MS, but I bought Vista when it first came out and have had zero problems with the OS. If there are aps or hardware that don't work with Vista, that is entirely the fault of the software or hardware producers who haven't properly supported their own products. I now use CS4 64bit and it just smokes in Vista. I hope this helps. Cheers.

I also use CS3 with Vista 64 bit and have had no problems whatsoever.

I ran CS3 on my Vista laptop with no problems (now CS4) and CS3 then CS4 on my Vista 64 bit desktop, again with no problems.
I agree with what Greg said about Vista...

Thanks for your comments. I always appreciate the perspective of those with experience. I will approach the installation without Vista apprehention.

Vista sucks - I have had compatability problems of all sorts since I got a new computer with Vista. That being said, I also run Photoshop CS3 on the same computer, no problem!
