Sometimes you have to do what you can with what you have... I was planning a panorama of this "not so spectacular scene", but I lost the color before I could get the pano off in time. Photoshop and RAW help out in this image taken right before the pano attempt.

Hey Aaron - Good capture of the colors and reflection. I think that I would crop some of the foreground to get a better balance for the colors. You have good detail in the dead leaves but they distract from the remainder of the shot.

Nice light, color and reflections, in this one Aaron. I like the shadows and silhouettes offered by the hill and trees. The foreground is interesting, but perhaps a bit too prominent?

Aaron, nice shot. I tend to agree with Merle, a little cropping of the foreground make this even better.

Aaron, the foreground is my favorite part of this shot, though it does compete with the sunrise/sunset colors. I wish you had posted a not-so-tall version, as I can't view the entire image even on my 23" display. Overall this is a very nice image.

Aaron, This is really nice. Beside the entire image which is great, I think there are two wonderful shots in this image. The foreground with the reflection is really nice. And then the sky with the dark hill side with the reflection look really nice too. Fine job.

What Brad said - I think you could get two separate images from a single frame, with the bottom half being the stongest IMO. The trees seem to be a little soft, which might have been a wind issue, but appears to be more likely a depth of field thing. I'd try cropping this right below the shoreline and see how that looks...

Aaron: I'm viewing this on my laptop so I can't see the image in its entirety but I tend to agree with the others about cropping some from the bottom. What really works for me is cropping everything above the shoreline to emphasize the dead leaves and make the sky reflection a strong contrasting complement. >=))>
