Same sunrise, different time
Taken the same morning as my last post, but earlier when there was still color in the sky. This color, such as it was, lasted for maybe 10 seconds then it was gone. There is not much in the way of interesting foregrounds here. I just wanted to get the sky and a feel for the country. I actually shot this one from a bridge connecting Blackbird Island - the camera lens was poking through the side railing. This country, along the shore of the Wenatchee River as it slowly flows and snakes it's way through the Leavenworth Valley, is really quite beautiful, but I'm having a heck of a time photographing it.

Sony R1, 1/4 and 20 sec @ f/8.

Much more moody and interesting than the other, Marc. I like this quite a bit. My only nit is the blending work being slightly too visible around the trees on either side.

Where is the blending work that's visible around the trees on either side? I'm not seeing it. Anyone?

It's minor, but as with the last image, the areas around the trees overlapping the sky have less color/saturation and are brighter than the surrounding clouds. There is somewhat of a halo on the horizion in places also (some of that is natural, some not). Lastly, there is some odd color variations in the LLC. Just minor touch-ups that come with the blending process, but they wouldn't be noticed by most.

Very moody and atmospheric, Marc, I lke it. I'd like to see it just a tad bit lighter.

I'll echo the comments above. Great potential here.

How are you doing your blends Marc?
