Spider
Hi all

This is a stacked image of a garden spider, photographed on a local heath. 21 images used - lucky it wasn't windy!

What amazes me is just how much detail is there (and how hairy they are!).

Techs: D300, Sigma 180mm macro, Nikon R1C1 macro flash at -1.5ev, each image 1/200 @ F9. Mounted on Gitzo with Arca Swiss Z2 ballhead, electronic remote release. PP in Capture NX2 and PS CS2. About 90% of original images used.

C & C welcome.

They sure are hairy, pinpoint sharp and well exposed, very nice image.

Now that is one excellent spider image :toast: Sharp and great depth - must have a go at stacking some time.

It's probably my screen, but it looks a little hot in some places?

Nice image, I just about getting the hang of macro work - it's a completely different way of working !

Great head-on shot. The focus stacking has certainly brought out the detail. Excellent image.
