Is it possible to create another backup to a separate external hard drive? I have read where this is possible but the external HD requires a power source. I am trying to reduce weight when traveling and like to use small external HD's like Western Digital 160GB. I like to have more than one backup when travleing. Are there any light weight external hard drives that have AC power adapters?

Yes, you can backup the Epson device to another device. This is a point that people wonder why Epson does not use for better marketing of the Epson device. Some folks are backing up to the high capacity chips - same ones you use in the camera instead of HD's in the field. Can't get much smaller than that and you don't need a power source other than for charging the Epson.

You bet.
And there's no need to spend $$$ on an Epson. The Digital Partner is an excellent, yet inexpensive portable storage device available in different sizes.
