Haven't posted an image in a very long time so I thought I would give it a shot. This was taken this Autumn on Halloween in Devil's Hall (appropriate ) in the Guadalupe Mountains in west Texas. Would be interested in what you think.

What could be a too-busy or chaotic image in less experienced hands simply isn't. This is really nice, great leading lines, great exposure, and superb color. I also love your logo!

Love the colors. This has a very focused feeling, like Todd said, well managed composition!

Awesome colors and perfect comp.

I like this one. The textures and colors add to a nice composition.

Agreed - very well designed image. The discrete 'areas' of color and texture help keep this from becoming too busy; the thoughtful arrangement of those areas pulls it together nicely. I'd be tempted to bump up the contrast just a scoche, more as a matter of personal taste than technical nit.

This got an "ooh, ahh" from my wife and daughter looking over my shoulder.
I think so too. Really nice!

Thanks for the comments. There is so much going on in this shot that I was worried that the comp was too busy. Glad to hear that is not the case. The image appears a bit dark to me so I might brighten it up a bit. When I stepped down the trail and this scene unfolded before me, it got oohs and aahs right then and there! The Guadalupes are a lot of fun in the fall--temperatures are perfect and the colors are splendid. We were about a week late for peak conditions at McKittrick Canyon, hit peak conditions at Smith Springs, and maybe a couple days past peak at Devils Hall (but still lots of color).
I have many more from our trip so I'll be posting more over the next few weeks--maybe even another comp or two of this scene for comparison. Thanks again for looking and commenting!

I like the comp and the branches mixed in with all that color. Nice.
Very nice, Phillip! This southern color is tough to shoot, as I found in the Gila this fall. I'll echo everyone else's comments: nice job with a busy scene!
