Wow I absolutely love it. I might even make it a panoramic crop from both top and bottom. A bird I would love to see.

Superb. The sliver of focus between the oof foreground and background together with the low pov make for an arresting image.

Very nice Major. Really like the way you've got the curve of the shore and buildings in the background. Only suggestion would be about the green hut, whether it competes for attention at all

Very different Major - I do like it, and it just goes to show you don't need super teles all the time
Agree over the green 'bit' and I might be tempted to do something with that OoF razor shell sticking up in front of the bird, but its a great shot imo.

What a wonderful image, just my cup of tea! If it were mine I think I'd be tempted to crop it slightly inside that green hut and give it a bit more of a panoramic look giving the image a bit more of the Dotterel looking out to sea feel. As it is I think the bird is a little too central.

Hello Major.
Different and that why I really like this.
I think I would also remove the out of focus razor shell, as it did catch my eye very quickly. But thats just me.
A cracking image.

Blimey
I don't think I've ever seen an image of a Dotteral away from golf courses, grassy sword or the uplands....... certainly a different take on these birds
