HERE is a collection of images from my fall color trips. I didn't use small thumbnails or anything, I just posted a bunch of pics on one page. You've been warned, so now if your modem ends up in one big, melted pile of goo on your desk, don't blame me.

Wow, Todd, awesome pics, looks like you have enough to do every month of your next calendar with fall shots! Wilson Peak looks particularly good with that fresh snow.

Great collection, Todd! I like the Wilson Peak shot too. I can't remember the last time I was there with any clouds let alone down on the mesa. Great stuff overall. Now I really feel like a slouch!
Posted by Joshua Hardin on November 29, 2008 at 12:13 AM
Well that does it. Next year I MUST rent some of Todd's clouds. The Wilson stuff is amazing. Though I think my favorite has to be the Owl Creek shot with the aspens in the foreground and the band of light across the rocks in the background. Yea, having to follow this is going to get me motivated to update my site with the rest of my fall images.

Those are some kick-*** images, Todd!

Wow!
those pictures were an inspiration to this old rookie!
Great work

Nice shots Todd, love the Silver Jack/Owl Pass ones.

Killer collection of images, dude! The photos of spotlighting at Silverjack are outstanding. Print 'em BIG. :toast:

Whoa! Way to go TC! Incredible collection of images: love 'em all!

Todd, Awesome collection! If I can make a suggestion? I think you should post your next trip itinerary in advance so all of us can follow you around so we can get some of that cloud action!

you had a good season!

Beautiful collection, Todd. I'm with Laurie on her suggestion for your itinerary. Might be fun to see the long string of photogs following you!

So... clearly I didn't miss out on anything by not being in CO this year. Whew!

I won't bother trying to pick a favorite out of this bunch - they're all wonderful to take in. Though I agree with Mr. Edge that the Silver Jack shots are stand-outs. I'm also really liking the more intimate aspen shot near the bottom. Don't see many intimate comps from you - with results like that, you need to do it more often.

Great collection. How many years of the calendar did you capture this season?

Just an 'average' fall outing?!?

Awesome collection, Todd! Hard to chose, but my fav is the Alamosa fog shot. FWIW, it seems to me that you have a little more saturation in these shots than what im used to seeing from you. This seems to be the popular way to go, but personally i like things a little more subdued.

Nice portfolio, Todd! I like the way you've presented the images. There's a lot of nice variety here and all are very well executed. Quite a productive fall, I'd say! :toast:

Fantastic collection Todd! I too really like the Wilson and Silverjack shots. And I'm with Rick on the aspen leaf photo - do more of that too! Great stuff.

These look great.

I wish some of mine had the snow-capped mountains. Damn.

Posted by Morris McClung on November 29, 2008 at 12:48 PM
Yeah, these all work. I like the variation of shots, great clouds at almost all the locations. Nice intimates, and close-ups. Of course, I prefer the color the way it is. I think fall shots of Colorado should reflect the feeling of sensory overload we get when we are out there. My eyes burned every night when I went to bed after a day of shooting. I also, agree with Laurie.

Great set of images Todd. I bunch of great ones, I think my favorite is the 6th one of the cliffs in shadow with the middle one in sunshine.

Some nice stuff. I can't pick a fave.

Thanks, Todd - some really nice shots, it was a lot of fun going through them!

Excellent work...just as I'd expect from you. All those gorgeous low hanging clouds you've captured in the Silverjack area really makes me wish I would have gotten out there earlier that day.

I'm piling on. Awesome collection. I am now putting my fall work into the recycle bin. Again, awesome! :toast:

My dial up melted down about half way through, but I'd be proud to have any one of those in my portfolio. Really nice! Since you haven't posted much routinely I was wondering if you'd taken up knitting, but looks like you've been kicking some photo butt instead.

Well, that certainly makes *my* cloudy Fall look insignificant! I'm going to join the crowd and suggest that you post your itinerary next year so we can follow you around to wherever it is you have the clouds going each day...

If you ever want to disown any of these, let me know - I'll "babysit" it. Great collection!

Crap, absolute crap!!!

Seriously, nice work, dude. Wish I could even have made that many bad images :-D

This is one of the best autumnal series of photos that I've seen in a long, long time.
Good timing, light & luck, but mostly your determination, skill and hard work just paid off in spades.

Congratulations!!

The Wilson peak shots are my faves!
