Brent D has graciously given us permission to use QUBE Visual again for our annual shindig party. For those who have been before you know it is a great party and chance to get together and talk about projects, images and future trips. We encourage all of the newbies(and that includes the lurkers) to participate.

We are looking to do the same as before with a print exchange (white elephant), pizza/subs and food/beverages, slideshow. But we also would like to solicit from the group ideas for how we can improve and add to this annual party. One thing I would like to see (and Rene and I are working on) is greater involvement/participation from the photo vendors we all use with giveaways etc. If you know any photo vendors that we all support regularly lets get them involved.

Dates? Superbowl weekend is Feb 1 and we always schedule this party on a Saturday night. Suggested dates are Jan 17 or Jan 24. Please vote for a date in this thread.

What a super idea! I'm a newbie as of this year so I don't come bearing great improvement ideas (perhaps next year). However, I'd like to come so my vote is 24 January as the other two dates are already booked with activities.

i vote for the 17th.

Either date works for me. Sevral of us meet at the Monument park and ride last time, so that could be on the table as well if there is enough interest. For anyone that has not attended before it is both fun and informative.

I vote for the 24th. The white elephant exchange was great last year. People always bring equipment to show but it might be nice to have some organized demonstrations (Using Lightroom, Pano heads and gear, Large Format cameras and techniques, Scanning, etc.)

I've been a NPN/CNP/RMNP member for a few years and I'd love to meet more members, but since i live in Indianapolis, the only possible time for me is a weekend. That being said, i could possibly make the 17th since Monday the 19th is MLK day and we state employees get the day off!

If you pick it, I will come...
(okay, so it's not quite "Field of Dreams," but you get the idea.)

I like the idea of Lightroom and CS4 demos since I will be upgrading my software in the first quarter of '09.

There is a possibility that I will be able to make the shindig this year. Looking forward to what dates ya'll decide on, and with any luck and a little help from the Scheduling Gods, I'll be there.

Great! I haven't been in town for the last two shindigs, so I'm looking forward to meeting some of the many new members. Either date works for me.

I've been cleaning out my library and have a box of photography books and guide books that I would like to pass on. I could donate these for drawings, or maybe we could set up a book exchange, or I can just bring them to give away. Let me know what best fits your plans.

17th works best for me...I think. I'll try to be there either way.

Either day works for me and after watching last years white elephant you can count me in for that too!

Either works for me as of now. As stated before the 17th falls in the middle of a three day weekend for many which could allow people from out of the area to come in that weekend or it also means the locals will be gone for the long weekend.

It's hard for me to know my schedule that far in advance, but I think the 17th would be better for me

I'm going to vote for the 24th, since I'll be in Maui the 17th.
