RMNP Thanksgiving - Need Help

I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving in Estes with several friends this weekend. Snuck out Thursday morning for this shot of Long's. I'd welcome some suggestions - I like the shot but it seems a little too balanced....top half is sky, bottom half is mountain, the peak is dead center. Does this work OK or would a crop help? Perhaps it is all beyond help...that would be good to hear as well! :frown:

And, yes, my New Year's resolutions include paying for my membership so I can post images directly to the forum!

Thanks for looking!

The warm light is beautiful and the clouds very pretty, and I think the photo is very nice as it is. That said, I agree that it is maybe a bit too centered. I might try cropping the bottom 1/5 out because I don't think it's adding much, and maybe try cropping off some of the left side as well. That would put the a bit peak off-center, preserve the glowing clouds on the right, and eliminate what may be some excess foreground.

Beautiful light and mood, the clouds swirling over the peak are particularly nice!. I actually don't mind the comp as it is, I think cropping anything from the sides would end up leaving no room where the rock meets the ridgeline. The composition doesn't have alot of depth, but the main attraction is the peak, light and clouds - so it works for me.

My thoughts exactly.
The last thing I notice is the composition...the light and clouds trump all.
Nice catch for a sneaky trip!

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will play around with some crops like Jeff mentioned to see if I can add a little more interest to a relatively flat image.
