Barn Owl (c)
Just a simple shot taken today during a photo shoot with Tom W & collegue, Kev. Cracking day & a real pleasure to work alongside them.

Also I got to play with a D3 & a 300mm VR, awesome combo!

This Barn Owl by the way is 23 years old, she looks great especially at such an age.

Nikon D3
300mm F2.8 VR
ISO 1250
F5
1/800th sec
Handheld

Thanks for looking :toast:

Danny ,

Why your kit?

Simple, it's because the look on your face would be much better --- my kits insured

Excellent day Vince.

a beautiful portrait. I didn't realise Barn Owls could live that long.

It's really nice to see one up close with all that wonderful feather detail. I bet they don't live that long in the wild do they?
