Nuthatch
Another shot from my recent trip to holland, tried to get photos of a range of small birds coming to this woodland pond, not quite in John Rs leaque but certainly inspired by his work

Hi Danny - don't know what "league " I,m in !
Great shot (But you know what I,m going to say about the reflection ! - at least its not chopped in half.! )
I think this would have made a nice landscape in its own right without the water in fact.
Good stuff though.
Cheers

Keep them coming.

Different and out of the box i must say, well executed. Not sure whether i like it that much, i find the amount of leaves a bit overpowering but that is more personal taste then anything else!.

Hi Danny

Great shot - like it. Minor nit would be the space at the bottom of the frame - I'd have given the reflection a little more room.

Cheers,
Chris

I think I agree with Rene on this one Danny in that the strong colour of the leaves are overpowering the bird.

F-ing gorgeous, I love it. I don't agree about the leaves overpowering the bird, it's a nice autumn scene.

Works for me. An excellent little shot.

I wasn't too keen on this at first Danny, but after coming back to it a few times I really like it. I think what put me off - the bird being dwarfed by the leaves - is actually its charm. It reminds just how small small birds are.

Lovely reflection. Agree about the red leaf being ever so slightly distracting and I think I would crop about a centimetre and a half from the top.

Amazing colours! It would have been great if the bird had moved a little closer to the water edge. BTW - I hadn't seen your front cover shot- congratulations!

Hi Danny, i think it works well as it is, with just the top half or even the bottom reflection turned upside down to give an interesting edge, he almost blends in with the leaves which is nice.
