1D2n, 600mm f4 is x1.4. 1/1250s, f6.3, iso 400.
Today, I was privileged to have the company of a guest who hadn't photographed SEO's for a decade or so. Thankfully the birds obliged and gave a spectacular display, albeit a little further away than we would have wished. The temperature was well below zero and we were pretty numb, but who cares? This was taken in the last rays of the sun. The background is dark heather and grass on the opposite side of a valley.
