Epson has put out some good rebates on the 3800, 4880, 7880 and 9880. If you're in the market for a larger printer, there are some good deals. The rebates are $200, $480, $780 and $980 respectively. I know the 7900 and 9900 are out and I would assume replacements for the 3800 and 4880 are coming, but this is a really good deal.

I believe there is also a trade in rebate on Canon's 5100 and 6100 as new models are coming out.

Thanks Mel,

I just bought a R1900 and got two rebates -- $100 and $50. A pretty sweet deal!

There is no replacement coming for the 3800 (in the near future anyway), according to Jeff Schewe - who works closely with Epson. Just an interesting tidbit. The x900 series is meant to be a new line, not a replacement for the x880 series. The cost is certainly higher. Quite a range of pro printers piling up for Epson. Good time to be buying a printer, for sure. Thanks for the tip Mel.
