Quivira sunset
This was the sunset I was treated to at Quivira NWR Monday night. Cold, but nearly calm winds so not to bad. Overall, a beautiful night to be out. 50D, f/11, ISO 100, 2.5 sec, probably a ND4 and/or ND8 filter to get the longer exposure.

Beautiful image Rob. Good job. Was the reason for the longer exposure to smooth out the water?

Thanks. It was a beautiful night, and one of the best sunsets I've seen in a while. Yes, John, I was trying to smooth the water some.

The clouds radiating like spokes give a nice sense of depth to the image, and same pattern is also repeated in the far and near banks of the lake. Beautiful shot!
