Check out today's (12/3) Astronomy Picture of the Day:

Apparently taken the night before mine, since the moon is below Venus and Jupiter. (Or maybe it's because the photographer was up on a mountaintop!)

That is a really cool shot, but I still think yours is better with the color in the sky.

I was really kicking myself for not carrying my camera on Monday, but that's life.

I gotta be honest with you Todd, I like yours better.

So do I, but this is certainly worth a look.
Sure would hate to live down in that soup!

As an aside, thanks for the 'Astronomy Picture of the Day' link.
A great way to start the day!

Todd, sunset colors and tree silhouette far outshines the LA smog shot.

Ditto Don.

Smog and a giant city... I'll take your shot over that any day. Interesting yes, but certainly not better.

Wow! Yep Todds is betta! Mt Wilson was an old stompin' ground when I lived in SoCal. Did ya'll click on the Venus eclipse link? None-other than our own Kissin' Camels under that same celestial display taken by Steve Lantz of COS. :toast:

I thought all that haze was fog. Is it really smog? I know it's L.A., but geez...
