Up at Trentabank late this afternoon this Robin was particularly friendly. By the looks of it I think it was used to getting fed! Planning to head back up there when the light is better with some bird food
Photo as shot. Would like to know people's opinion on cropping.
Conventional opinion would say to crop some top and right - and I tend to agree in this case; so the bird is not so central and looking into the frame. Appears a nice shot, but does look a little dark on my screen. Perhaps the white stuff in the background - snow?! - has fooled your camera into underexposing.

He is a bit central and as jeremy mentioned the white behind makes the robin look dark and also draws the eye away from subject.
Hi Liz, Nice wintery shot! I agree about the crop, and im not too sure about the point of view, it feels like I'm looking down on the robin? still a good shot
cheers,
Billy

forgot to say, it was one of those moments when you step out the car, the bird is there about 1ft in front of you and not sure how long for. So it was a quick snap capture. Will aim for the straight on and non central shot tomorrow! Bird willing
thanks all

Looks like you could be in for a lot more snow in your neck of the woods tomorrow.
So bet that old Robin will still be lingering.
Take him a few treets Elizabeth and perhaps he will perform some more. Sprinkling of snow on top of that stone would look great. Well done.

Agree about the cropping suggestions Liz, may need to consider cloning out the bit of the stone left at the bottom right then - so probably better to stick with your plan of going back with winter treats!
