Took this one in the Peak District in the summer, waited balancing on a couple os stones in the river as he made his way upstream and eventually past me, great experience!

Youve done well and got the subject Ben. It looks pretty sharp with the whites slightly hot on one side, but think perhaps youve gone wrong with your processing. Cant advice as I dont quite know how you have set about it.

a nice pose, but I agree the processing does look a little strange. The image looks overexposed and there's also some strange patterning in the background. Maybe you could say what processing you have done?

i think its just the way the lens handled it, i had alot of problems with the 100-400mm with clarity i have now upgraded to the 500mm and is no longer a problem.

I once borrowed a 70-200 f4 L lens from a friend and I saw some similar patterning in the background. Turned out he was using a cheap UV filter, once he changed it the effect went away. Not sure if it could apply in your case.

I suspect the bg issues are lens/distance related but I think it has a strong green colour cast as well. Well worth having another look at Ben IMO. Eric

Hi
Great pose, but for me the issue is the colour cast, which is pretty strong. I suspect that when that's dealt with you'll have a real keeper!

Nice pose and comp but a violent green colour cast really doesn't help the final image. Shame, but if you took this in RAW you should be able to sort it out.
