Very nice Dan did you eventually make it to your mother in laws?

Dan,
Very nice to see this environment in snow. I like the composition and arrangement of the western junipers. The bleached out limbs really do stand out. I'd say this was a worthwhile detour. :-)

very nice Dan. I like especially like the POV for this shot...seems like a fresh first snow to me.

Very nice Timing, Dan
I also like the rocks in the LL corner to anchor the composition.
I must have missed hearing about that snow flurry?
I have a pic with a tree from up there like that...
I love them... almost makes you feel like you are cheating
and near the Bristlecones, huh?
Hope the mom-in-law had some warm food and some Black label to take the chill off
Was this near the Ranger's Station? I love that walk into Winnemucca Lake and then down to Wood's Lake.
Thanks for sharing and taking us back there....
Nice additional item to give Thanks for
Very pretty scene. Well worth the detour. Besides, it is always good to delay the arrival at your mother-in-law's. :)
On my screen, the image seems to have a bit of a cyan/blue cast.

Very nice Dan...I love the knarled looking trees, and the snow definitely adds that wintery feel. Well worth the detour I must say.

Great shot Dan,
I love seeing snow scenes in the Sierras. You are getting me pysched to head up there this Winter. I'll probably head into Yosemite as I haven't been there in the Winter for some time.

I don't think I would make it anywhere, if I had detours like this to take. I like the way the snow breaks up the elements found in this image. No nits here... nice work!
