Cloudy Pass & Glacier Peak
On a weekend backpacking trip about five years ago into one of my favorite spots - the Lyman Lake/Cloudy Pass area - I hand-held this with a little 5 mega pixel camera, output to jpeg. Encamped in Cloudy Pass Meadows (below), Margareta and I were doing the easy walk-up of Cloudy Peak after dinner when I turned back and shot this picture. Worked over considerably in PS, including using TK's luminosity masks, I wonder what you think of the image quality. I have another from this collection I may post later.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice shot. The greens add a lot of interest here. I think the mountains over all could use a little more contrast to bring out the highlighted edges, and then perhaps a little shadow recovery overall.
This is a really nice photo though, especially for a quick shot.

The shadows have lost some detail here. I guess it's the compression.

I like it. Its a nice view, with plenty of things to keep my interest. I can see evidence of a little PP work on this one, but I doubt that any non-photographer would notice.

The deep shadows dont bug me much. It looks just right for late evening light

No filters. I would have have had to float a polarizing filter in front of the non-threaded lens with my third hand. Good call, though.
