Kerry's image and the barn series inspired me to follow up with another Miner's Beach sunset shot. I was about a quarter mile east of where Kerry shot his pic from, and I was also there in early October of this year. I had been photographing the cliffs facing east and was about out of light when I turned around and saw the light coming from the west. The cloud reflections and the warm light were too good to resist. I ended up walking back on the short trail to the parking area in almost total darkness (and have since put a small flashlight in my bag), but did end up with two very different sets of pics for my evening shoot.
I like the reflective pools, looks like they offer many different comp options.
My one nit would be that bright little rock in the fg, its grabbing a bit too much attention for me.
Nice work...I particularly like the identifiable reflections in the FG pools.
I know this spot well, as I think I mentioned when you posted a shot from this location looking in the other direction a few weeks back. Last time I went out to this point (2006) I too had to make my way back on the semi-official trail in the gathering darkness. It's always good to have a flashlight and/or headlamp with you.

Nice find.
To two images really make a theme? :)
