Nice on Major, bet the clip round the ear would have looked great!

Hi Major,
Lovely moment to capture. How do you sex Hares? Is there a marked difference between male and female??
The image is looking a tad bright on my screen.
Regards

From a distance Rob I dont think you can.
Bucks tend to chase off lesser Bucks but do things like touching noses as a pair.
The female tends to box when she resists the males advances as she does here.
I assume rightly or wrongly the Doe is on the right as this was the one inflicting the blow.
They did of course spend quite sometime together the Buck tending to mimic every move.

Nice one Major. Looks comical in light of your comment about the clout!

a nice moment, well captured Major. Interesting to see the result of their feeding in the background too.

Beautiful! :)
I've been trying to capture hare pics for a while, but I've not managed it yet.
I've added them to my every growing list!

Lovely picture. good FG and BG I think. hares are as sharp as could be. It gives a good idea of there living envrinment and their behaviour.

Major, well composed shot - your explanation of the scene also adds interest. Pity you missed the clout or are you saving that for a later post? Cliff

Funnily enough Cliff I have two more frames but I went for the image with both Hares sharp for whatever reason. I will have a second look.
I dont know about others but I surprise myself sometimes with images I only gave a quick look at directly after downloading from the card. Who knows what jems are lurking on my PC.
