Sandhill Crane scratch Portrait
I've got many images of Sandhill Cranes but until this one none I was really happy with, they tend to walk around in uninteresting fields in pairs not really doing anything. I was really lucky with this pair they let me get very close so I went in close for a full frame portrait.

Thanks for looking

Nice portrait of this elegant bird Colin,
I would perhaps clone that blur foot out.
Just for a try.

Hi Colin,

Nice picture. Don't clone that foot. It gives the picture some "moving" element. You can see the bird is busy. The head is nice and sharp.

Lovely sharp image showing that vicious looking bill.

I like that foot as well - it brings life to the shot. I am amazed they let you get so close.

Yes Colin I'll vote for the retention of the foot most definitely the bit of motion blur tells us its real not posed
