Grey Hare resting.
One from the Summer as today has been a crap day with poor results.
Tomorrow is a different day however

Crawling along pushing Gitzo in front at lowest level + Bean bag.
Exhausting work if youve ever tried it.
By the time I got to press the shutter with this one I was a nervous wreck.

Great stuff !
I haven't seen a Hare for years. Never photographed one either.
Something else to try for. !(Swap you for a straw bale ! )
Cheers

I think I would have cropped the O.O.F. foreground and the L.H. side, as for me they do absolutely nothing for the image, this might well mean cropping elsewhere, just for compositional reasons.

The Hare itself is fantastic. Well seen and taken.

I like the comp and it gives a real feel of being on the field margin. Good stuff!

Nice picture. Like the FG and BG gives some feeling of depth.

Looks good enough to eat

I for one like it as-is Major - plenty of depth to the image and good comp and detail - well worth the effort of the horizontal mambo!

Well worth the hard work that went into getting the shot. It works well for me as it is.

Like this a lot Major, always enjoy your hare shots but this is another good one. Like the way the pale stems tone with the grey fur. Works for me with or without the blurred edge/foreground

I'm always envious of your hare shots and now you're throwing different coloured ones into the mix...how are we s'posed to compete!
Great shot - wouldn't change a thing.

Top Drawer hare shot. Presumably this is the same silver hare that you posted before or is there more than one? Lovely colour palette. Great shot.

Mr farmer said he had two on his land Eric but there are definately at least three.
The one posted before looks like a youngster, this one I think is the old boy amongst them.
It had a tendancy to do little but sit about and again I was told that it had been about a good few years. All people concerned were told not to shoot any of the greys thank goodness.
Many thanks everybody for your comments I too realy like Hares I could sit all day with them.
Great fun just to watch. :wavey:
Oh nearly forgot theres a Hare near you Simon surely!!!!!!!

Love this shot Major and a very interesting subject. Cropping is about spot on in my opinion.
