5D Mark II Black Spot Problem

Seems to be a lot of reports of mysterious black spots showing up in 5D2 images:

Hope this isn't a fatal flaw!

I've read that too. They seem to be showing up in bright highlights. I'll check mine as soon as I can import images.

Just don't shoot bright highlights and you'll be fine.

Unfortunately I've confirmed that mine is doing this too. It seems to be rare in real world images, but it definitely happens sometimes:
