I don't know if any of you have seen this clip or not, but it is hilarious.

Steve, too much.

The original movie this clip was taken from was excellent. Although it too was all english sub-titled it was very well done.

I live in Utah and someone did the same thing with the U of Utah BYU football game with Hitler as a BYU fan using this film clip. One would have to get the local media to get much of the humor though.

It's very funny, but I have a hard time following the english subtitles while understanding what he is rambling about  But muted, without the angry voice, it's less entertaining...

Anyone recall the actor's name who played Hilter in that film? He portrayed the raving lunatic very well.

Yeah, I saw this a couple of days ago and it *is* funny. (My favorite line was the one of the woman comforting her friend by saying that she'd been told that Hitler only shoots JPEGs.)

When I see something like this it always reminds me of something thematically very similar that I saw a couple of years ago on YouTube. It was the now famous video of the German kid who was playing some on-line computer game and going absolutely apesh*t--tossing stuff around the room, slamming his keyboard, screaming his head off. I know that this piece has been parodied dozens of times now but the version I originally saw with the English subtitles had him railing at the Chicago Cubs' General Manager about what he was doing at the Major League Baseball winter meetings--deals he was making/wasn't making that kind of thing. The commentary was, literally, very "inside baseball," but I was laughing so hard when I saw it I almost wet my pants.

That's Bruno Ganz, Jim. He's an Italo-swiss actor, an excellent actor indeed, well known in Europe. That movie was released in 2004 and its title for anglophone countries was "The Downfall - the last days of Hitler". Just a great movie, I suggest it to everyone!
I enjoyed a lot the clip posted by Steve. Even though I don't understand German, I think I remember well what Hitler is rambling about: Berlin is seiged by the Soviet Armies, and no German Divisions are availble for a counterattack or a defense. Well, I must say the strong contrast between what is actually happening in the movie, and the subtitles, is simply hilarious! Great post, Steve!

Paolo, thanks for refreshing my memory! The movie was good and Bruno Ganz gave a very fitting performance.

Kerry, that's my favorite line, too. I've just watched it a third time and I can't stop laughing.

Hey Steve,

Quite hilarious - and I have to admit I agree with almost everything in it (with the exception of the statement about Ken Rockwell being on to something - that CAN'T be true). The D3x price will have to fall fast (or they'll have to introduce a lower priced "D700x" with the same sensor) or they'll never get their investment on the sensor back...

Cheers...
