Anyone have any experience with the Sigma 10-20mm lens? Specifically for the Pentax K10D, but I imagine the lens is the lens to a certain extent.
It seems to be the widest Pentax lens I can find that's not a true fisheye lens, and it gets good reviews on Adorama at least. There's the Tamron 10-24mm as well but I can't seem to find much info about it.
Any experience with any of these wide Pentax lens appreciated.

I've been using the Sigma 10-20mm for about a year with both K10D and K20D with excellent results.
The new Tamron should be an excellent lens, as well. Personally, I could live with either one. Price would probably determine which I would buy. I have the Sigma 18-200mm as well, so don't need the extra range provided by the Tamron.

I use the Sigma 10-20 lens with a Canon camera and have been overjoyed with its performance, which is at least as good as the Canon 10-22 lens at a much better price.
The Sigma includes a lens hood and a nice case.
I haven't found any reviews of the Tamron lens online and it hasn't been tested at PhotoZone yet.

The Tokina lenses in that range (11-16 & 12-24) seem to be the highest rated in that range but I don't know if they are available in Pentax mounts--LJP

The tamron lense is very new. I just ordered the sigma 10-20 from adorama. I was thinking of getting the tamron but it wasn't even available yet as they were still waiting on a shipment from the manufacturer. I love the sigma, this is a great lense. Very sharp and smooth. Opens up a whole new world of shooting. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
We use the Sigma 10-20 on Nikon's 12-24mm, which cost more than twice as much. The Sigma beats it hands down.

I have done extensive research on wide angle options for my Pentax K10D and have settled on the Sigma 10-20 mm (now I just need to order it!). There is a large Flickr group dedicated to people using this lens on their Pentax cameras - a good place to see some samples of what people have done with that combo of equipment. The comments there also indicate a high level of satisfaction, as do the comments on Amazon, the B&H website, and with the reviews in Pop Photo and other places.
