Seeking Feedback on my New Website

Earlier this week I finally loaded a stock gallery onto my website, adding hundreds of images to my site. I've worked very hard on the new stock section for nearly 9 months now, and now that I finally have it up, I would love some feedback. Thanks!

PS: I know the order print buttons are not working at the moment. I'm fixing that feature right now and hope to have it working by the end of the month.

Hi Kari, I had a look at your site and everything looks really, really nice.
One thing that would be cool is if you had some kind of search engine that would search your keywords. I'm not too sure how to go about that though.

Kari--looks real good. Love the shots of the foxes. We have a family behind my house that comes up every night to poke around under the bird feeders. I did see 3-4 images that failed to load and gave me the 404 error so you might want to check them again. I didn't have time to write them all down--LJP

Kari,

Yes, it looks very good. Simple, yet clean and easy to navigate; intuitive.

With lots of images, I would agree that a search feature would be nice. But seeing that all your pages are html - and I'm assuming hand coded... you would need a database and .asp or .php for adding a search feature. I know how tedious and time consuming coding pages is, so for now I would say search feature would just be a bonus and something to think about in the future.

BTW, you have a great eye and wonderful images.

I like your organization and the navigation is easy. Great site.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I would love to have a search feature but as Lon suggested, I did the entire site in HTML by hand (well, using Dreamweaver, but I just don't know much about PHP code). If I learn PHP, I'll definately consider redesigning the stock gallery in the future.

Very nicely done with some great photography Kari! I really like the design you've implemented as well, quite nice! Agree about the search feature with the number of pages you have...you can always have a custom google search page, perhaps not ideal for a photography site, but it works. Also, I can only guess all the work you just put into this, but with the large number of images you have I would definitely consider thinking about going dynamic (database driven via ASP, perl, php, or whatever) - just something to think about. Not essential of course, but it can save some pain in the future should you wish to make sitewide changes, and in some cases it can make it much easier to add images as well.

Kari, I like the simplicity and cleaness of your site, however you need a Home page with Text content talking a little about what you do, how you work and where you are. It works as a greay Hub from which to nvigate to and from throughout the entire site. All of the other suggestions given to you are great to consider as well.

Nice job, easy to click through and find your images in nicely arranged groupings. I really like how fast it loads all your images! Good job. I wouldn't worry too much about keyword searches until you have thousands of images to sort through. Good job, wish my site looked as good.

Take care,
