Kestrel hovering
Taken locally whilst spotting short eared owls, so many Kestrels flying around. I've taken so many of these in the past but its not often you get the right sky/light combination.

1DS MKIII
600 F4 + 1.4x
F5.6
ISO 200
1/1000th
+0.66 EV

75% Crop.

Ooh I'm envious! Have been trying for one for ages without success. This is so sharp!

Hi Tim,

75% crop  Really shows the res of the 1Ds MKIII, looks really good. A very nice image with good composition and lovely lighting.

Thanks for sharing

Regards

nice sharp image, like the vertical crop with just enough room for the bird to look into,

cheers

The detail and composition works really very well here and makes for a remarkable shot. Very well seen and taken.

Hi Tim,

Stunning capture! If it was mine I'd add a touch more canvas to the left so the bird looked directly into the bottom right hand corner!

this is lovely Tim. Agree with Paul that a little more on the left may help
