Don't know about my conversion here. I would like to get some feedback on if the comp is good enough to fool with, and if I'm going in the right direction with the conversion.
Thanks,
Morris

My initial thought was that the ice right below the falls seemed a little hot, but the more I look at it, the more it looks fine. Overall I'd say this is a really awesome shot.

I like it too Morris.
I've been meaning to get out to a local creek before it freezes solid, but have some time sensitive home improvement projects in progress right now and probably won't finish before solidity occurs.

Thanks, Todd, maybe I'll dodge that area a little.
Thanks, also, Mel. I hate it when I have to do what I have to do, and not what I want to do. LOL

Composition looks solid to me, as does your conversion. I think I might dodge that area right below the water though a touch as you mentioned.
Oops, John is right, I meant Burn!. I always get the 2 mixed up too, too many years ago when I was in a darkroom!.

You might consider burning that icy area instead.
Nice b&w conversion. You might consider taking a half inch off of the top, as the bit of sky showing doesn't really add much to the image.

John,
I always get those confused. You would think someone as old as I am would have more darkroom experience, but since I never had my own, someone else always did my printing.
So in PS it's usually dodge a half a dozen times until I see it should have been burn. Then I have to visit the history to remove those and start over. This old dog is having a hard time learning new tricks.

Morris... beautiful place. There is something about this photograph that is so cool. I am not sure what that is... may be the light and the details all through out the image. I agree witht eh above comments too... crop the top. I also think the bottom and the right side of the shot where the tips of the rocks are showing can be cropped too....great place and shot..regards, Rajeev.
