Angry elephant at large in Bandon!
Made ya look!

See it? There was HUGE surf, but really crappy light at Bandon a few weeks ago, so I grabbed this shot just for fun. I had been thinking about making this comp for a long time, but hopefully with better light. Mark Hudon's Kiwanda Rock monster may have just met it's match!

About 5 minutes after this was taken a tourist and his dog were knocked down by a huge wave a few yards from me, and were on the verge of serious danger. Against my better judgement, I went in after, and dragged them both back to dry land. They were OK, but shaken up quite badly.

Isn't that where they have that wild animal park/petting zoo place? I saw the post and thought of that place and the possibility of an escape but I didn't think they had elephants. That rock does look like an elephant, pretty cool shot.

Brenden, this is from Bandon in southern oregon. These rocks are on the north end of Bandon/Face Rock Beach, right below Coquille Point.

Very cool shot. What fun.

Good thing you were there to help that person and dog! Way to go.
