Robert, I'll bet stepping out of the warm vehicle here was a bit of a shock, man does this look cold. As of late I know the trees in this general area were topped off or even cut down to make for a better view. I'm not sure that would include this group you have used so nicely to frame this scene. I guess to improve things the chainsaw could knock the top off the bottom barren tree sticking up in the scene here.

Thanks for the Early "tease" Robert
Yep, this image is a bit of History now....I was just there a month ago and all those trees are gone.
I can probably say with some bit of confidence tho that the temp was about 19F, as that has been the temp
for the last 6 winter trips I made when I checked at 1st light....when dressed appropriately actually you get HOT
after walking around a bit and I had to start peeling
BTW...we ARE expecting a Very COLD storm this next weekend and first few days into next week,
with snow down as low as 500 feet...so Hold the thought that it goes far enough South to reach the Park, OK?
Might be a White Christmas for the Bracebridge at the Awahnee on Monday night.
I vote to KEEP the barren tree pointing to El Cap
Thanks for sharing the memories..
in gratitude,

Nicely framed, Robert and I like the face of El Cap rising out of the valley fog, sorta mysterious, well done
Well done. Nice take on a classic view, the framing and the weather take it over the top. I too would keep the barren tree but I might try some CC rotation, it kind of leans to the right.
Robert,
You've framed a little Yosemite winter magic. Nicely done.

This is getting me psyched for a Winter trip to Yosemite. It has been a long time since I visited the Valley. Thanks for the reminder of how great it looks in white!
