Winter B&W's
There is a little section of BLM land a couple of miles from our house that has a lot of interesting trees. I went up there the other day just as the snow was stopping. It is supposed to snow here this weekend and I'll try and get out there again, but this time while it's snowing.

#1 Road to the Corral - The gates to road are closed now keeping the fat dudes on ATV's out so the snow was pristine

Thanks for looking and C&C welcome.

#2 Four Trees

adios.

Excellent stuff. My eye gets a little lost looking at the right side of the tree in #1; the texture of the branches and the background hill blend a bit much for my taste. But #2 is an absolute killer -- I love the foreground grasses and the lighter shades of gray above the trees, which really stand out well. Great job.

#2 would make one AWESOME Christmas card!

I love #2. The gradient in the sky really helps to frame the trees.

#2 kicks ass! Is it me, or is ot leaning just a hair to the right?

Very nice Jeff. I like them both. I prefer #1 myself. I think it is a more dynamic shot than #2, but both are very nice.

#2 is superb!
Every single element combines to make this a truly great image.

These are both excellent! I really like your vignette burn in the upper corners. Really accentuates the scene and focuses the viewers' attention on the trees.

I like #1, but I love #2. It is killer. Print it BIG!

Nice shots! I like both.

Both are great, I like #2 the best. Like Todd, the corner burn caught my eye but in a good way, it provides nice framing and focus of attention but doesn't look too unnatural.

Really good work! Unlike some, I think I prefer #1. To me, it's a much more dynamic composition. (I'm also a sucker for leading lines, and this one delivers.)

Great job on postprocessing also, to help guide the eye on both of these images.

Stellar work, Jeff! I agree that #1 is more dynamic, but #2 is the kind of 'static' image that I could stare at and enjoy for a loooong time.

These are both wonderful, but I agree with Rick about #2. Great job here. :toast:
