Very nice but I feel the composition isn't quite there for me... with the bird quite close to the top of the frame and seemingly looking slightly upwards it give a feeling of not enough room at the top, I appreciate that you are trying to show the complete Lichen, I just wonder about cropping to include both the pieces of hanging Lichen and then adding some canvass to the top... just my thoughts and preferences and still love the image..

It is a nice shot Ed, but I do echo Phils' thoughts and suggestion
The lighting is superb

Beautiful, love the lichen, my lass thinks I'm mad when I get so excited about the lichen in Scotland it's absolutely fantastic up there.

Great shot, I agree with Pil though that it's a bit tight at the top, I also see that it would be undesirable to chop of the bottom of the lichen however! Catch 22.

possibly a bit tight at the top but to me the composition still seems very nice. A lovely shot.

Although the bird is a tad tight to the top of frame it's a very nice and well exposed image, I like it!

Edwin, wish I had these locally too! Really nicely taken and a superb perch but also echo Phil's comments about the tightness at the top given the pose, but wouldn't want to crop through those dangling lichens
