I went out tonight since I knew I wouldn't get out tomorrow night. The shallow waters of the marsh have a thin layer of ice. The smudges at the top are geese, which we have no shortage of this time of year.

This looks almost identical to the location I was at last night, only the geese were below me. Was hoping for more color in the moon when I was able to finally see it. This is still a nice shot, Rob - beautiful color in the water and grasses. Just wish the moon was more visible...

My first impression of this was "wow - what a big moon!" which I'm sure was helped by the geese. This is nice as an environmental shot of the marsh, and is well composed. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot Rob. You do the Cheyene Bottoms favor with all your comps. This moon may be big in the frame but its no bigger than the setting moon I "put" in my Wyandotte County Lake shot from this fall!

Nice one Rob, I like what you did with the foreground, the moon looks to be a bit pale here, but I would think that depends on the time you took it. Over all though I like it, nice work.

yep, I wish the moon had been more visible at that moment, but it had to rise alot higher before it truly became visible. I keep trying to find something to do with the great late light the Bottoms get.
