Got this obliging Redwing yesterday along the canal at Crossflatts, W Yorks,
There are plenty of Redwings along this stretch of canal now, but it is a proving very difficult to get even reasonably clean backgrounds.
Techs
20D 400mm F5.6 x2 teleconv, tripod. ISO 1600 F16 1/640th, cropped to vertical. Lightrooom and CS4 for the usual. Also increased the out of focus blurring of the background with lensblur in CS4.
Opinions welcome.

Typical Yorkshire man, can't get any tighter than that Squeezing every ounce of sharpness out of the 400 + 2x TC combo. Great clarity, and fine pose by the bird, good eye contact as well.

Done well when you look at your techs. Nice bird and berries to match.

HI John
Congratulations, 400 2.0x @ f16, regardless of the iso the lens combination is incredibly sharp. This is inspiring to say the least.
Well done. Brian
