I was in the woods last weekend and noticed all the snow sitting on the evergreen branches. It is amazing how strong those little branches are! Anyway, I found this little one that had quite a bit of snow on it and I thought it would be a great photo!

I am sorry you have to go to the link, I am not yet a member. Thanks for taking the time and I appreciate the feedback!

Aaron, welcome to the NW forum. I'm new here as well and have found the folks very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I like the colors here and you've done a good job with keeping the snow properly exposed. I am distracted by the stick running across the top and would either move in tighter and find a pleasing composition or pull back and see what you could do with the tree. The composition here seems to be without a clear purpose, and the crop is a bit too square for my taste.

Hi Aaron. I largely agree with Brian...my inclination, without having access to a wider view, would have been to go in very tight for a highly detailed shot of the needles.

Good exposure on the scene, Aaron. I agree with regarding the branch across the top of the image. A slight crop down from the top will remedy that.

Welcome to NPN and the Midwest forum...looking forward to seeing more of your posts! :wavey:

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it! I will keep all of this in mind and perhaps crop that picture to get that branch out of there. I didn't even realize it until somone said something!
